The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Poultry Research Unit at Mississippi State, Mississippi, has a requirement to Install Security Fencing. The work consists of but is not limited to: The Contractor will provide all materials, labor, and equipment to remove the existing fencing along the north property line of the USDA ARS MS State Facility. Supply and install approximately 2,150 linear feet of 7’ tall steel picket fence located along marked property lines. Supply and install a 25’ motorized cantilevered slide gate at the main entrance. Supply and install a 12’ wide lockable double leaf swing gate on the eastern USDA property line at the side entrance to MSU parking lot. Supply and install a 12’ wide lockable double leaf swing gate near the southeast property corner. Supply and install approximately 275 linear feet of 6’ tall, galvanized chain link security fence topped with 3 strand barbed wire to match existing fence. Install a 36’ wide motorized cantilevered slide gate at the entrance to the Poultry Research facility of at type consistent with the existing chain link fencing; this gate shall include a pedestal for security card/fob read-in and read-out. A Knox Box shall be installed at the entrance. Supply and install a 12’ wide lockable double leaf swing gate at the south end of Building 12 Poultry Research Unit HQ. Supply and install a 6’ wide lockable single leaf swing gate in front of Building 13. The contractor will provide a turn-key product to include, but not limited to, all materials as specified, the proper demolition as specified, and the installation of all material as specified in the Statement of Work. This Project is located at the USDA ARS MS State Location, 150 Twelve Lane, MS State, MS 39762. The solicitation number is 12405B22R0010 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFP). The NAICS code is 238990 with a size standard of $16.5M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM) prior to submitting a proposal. You can register on- line at www.sam.gov. If you are already registered and your registration has expired, you will need to go the SAM website and update your information. The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about March 09, 2022. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
