The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Plant Science Research Unit, Raleigh, North Carolina requires acquisition of laboratory consumables for extracting DNA from large populations of plants to facilitate screening of the plants using marker assisted selection and sequencing. The LGC oKtopure automated DNA extraction instrument is used to isolate 800-1600 DNA samples/day from plant tissue for high-throughput screening using PCR based markers. These reagents, tips and 96-well magnet plates are key to maintaining sample integrity without risk of contamination and meet instrument requirements.
