SEE ATTACHED FOR REQUIRED FORMAT AND DETAILS. This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Southeastern Fruit & Tree Nut Research Laboratory in Byron, GA has a requirement for Countertop Replacements to include all labor, materials, and supplies to perform the following work to replace countertops in Lab 226, Lab 228, Lab 224, Lab 229, Lab 232 and Lab 233. This project shall be accomplished at the USDA, ARS, 21 Dunbar Rd., Byron, GA. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings, and specifications contained in the solicitation documents. A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday, 09/06/2022 at 10am EST. SITE VISIT LOCATION: 21 Dunbar Rd. This is a pre-solicitation notice. 12405B22Q0445 The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Southeastern Fruit & Tree Nut Research Laboratory in Byron, GA has a requirement for Countertop Replacements to include: All labor, materials, and supplies to perform the following work for U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Southeastern Fruit and Tree Nut Research Laboratory, 21 Dunbar Road, Byron, Georgia 31008. This will be a phased project to minimize research interruption. Due to the extent of deterioration of countertops in Lab 226, this is where work will start. Upon completion and acceptance, work will be scheduled and started on Lab 228, then Lab 224, Lab 229, Lab 232 and finally Lab 233. The contractor shall remove existing counter tops, casing, electrical and plumbing fixtures and properly dispose of. The contractor shall install new casework, electrical, gas and plumbing fixtures. The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials for the described project in strict conformity with safety, standards, laws, statutes, and ordinances for a chemical/biological research laboratory biosafety level 2 (BSL2) in a federal facility. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Quote for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238390 with a size standard of $16.50M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. The magnitude of the project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quotes (RFQ). The Government anticipates issuing an RFQ for this requirement around August 29, 2022. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services. The statement of work is attached to this notice for information only. The full RFQ, applicable provisions/clauses, wage rates, etc. will be posted when the full RFQ solicitation is released around August 29, 2022.
