The staement of work has been adjusted and attached. Please ensure that this and the added work statements are used to create estimates. Added Questions and Answers: Q1: Is there an asbestos/lead or environmental audit of the property? A1: we do not have lead/asbestos information for this building, we can address this if it comes up. Q2: Theres a ficus tree north of the building with branches encroaching over the roof. Will contractor need to trim these branches in order to maintain roof insurance ? Will USDA propose a minimum setback distance from the roof edge i.e. 8 ft in order to maintain insurance coverage in the foreseeable future. A2: Additional, statement of work information has been added to address this. Q3: State of utilities (water/sewer) is unknow, however safe to assume that existing sewer line is likely cast iron and portions may not be usable. Will USDA survey these lines prior to startup or will the contractor need to investigate state and notify USDA prior to conducting any floor repairs? A3: ARS has no plans to do survey on the lines. If an issues arrises from this, we will address as needed. ------- Additional work has been added for the removal of some of the branches around the building. In accordance with FAR 28.102-1, Performance and Payment Bonds, Policy on Use, the requirement of bid guarantee for solicitation 12405B22Q0214, for Renovation of BLDG 15 in Miami, FL will be required. In accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the magnitude of this contract project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The site visit date and time have changed. The new date and time will be Wednesday July 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM. This location is still in a high COVID status and the site visit will be restricted to 5 people. Please imit the number of people you request for attendance. If additional dates and times are needed they can be added at the point of need. Please ensure that you provide your attendance request with the company name and name of attendees to lynn.hults@usda.gov by the close of business the day prior. The Associated NAICS code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction), with a small business size standard of $39.5 Million. USDA, ARS, SHRS 13601 Old Cutler Road Miami, FL 33158 Needs the Renovation of Building 15 that fits the associated Statements of Work and Specifications. The Government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract. Each offer must show a breakdown giving price of each element, provide description literature or information showing that the offered service meets all parts of the Statement of Work and Specifications.
