The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to replace fifteen hydronic unit heaters, install twelve horizontal airflow fans, and install/modify three intake louvers, and replace three doors throughout three greenhouses and one headhouse at the USDA, ARS, Plant Science Facility, Raleigh, North Carolina. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings, and specifications contained in the solicitation documents. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Plant Science Facility in Raleigh, North Carolina has a requirement for Greenhouse/Headhouse Heating and Ventilation Modifications and Repairs to include: All professional services, personnel, tools, material, and equipment to replace fifteen hydronic unit heaters, install twelve horizontal airflow fans, and install/modify three intake louvers, and replace three doors throughout three greenhouses and one headhouse. This project shall be accomplished at the USDA-ARS Research facility at 3127 Ligon St, Raleigh, North Carolina, 27606. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Quote for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 with a size standard of $16.50 M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. The magnitude of the project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quotes (RFQ). The Government anticipates issuing an RFQ for this requirement around April 19, 2022. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
