This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction project. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Jamie Whitten Delta States Research Center facilities in Stoneville, MS has a requirement for the Emergency Replacement HVAC Units in Bldgs. 5 and 6 Project. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment tools, and materials to accomplish the requirements. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in the solicitation documents and its attachments. Organized site visit has been scheduled for September 09, 2021 at 10:00am Central. The site visits will be held at the location at: 141 Experiment Station Road Stoneville, MS 38776 Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than September 08, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Central. Pre-register by email notification to Nicholas Langley, Nicholas.Langley@usda.gov. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance – limited to two individuals per firm. Please be prepared to wear a face mask and practice appropriate social distancing at the site visit. Quotes must be received not later than 2:00 p.m. Central, September 15, 2021 QUOTE MUST BE ANNOTATED AS SUCH AND REFERENCE THE SOLICITATIONNUMBER. Contractor shall provide a detailed Quote, which includes a breakdown that contains costs for materials, labor, and equipment, bond, insurance, etc. in order to fully and successfully complete the Statement of Work. Please review quote submission requirements described in Section L.7, evaluation factors are listed in Section M. In accordance with FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to Nicholas.Langley@usda.gov by September 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Central. Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted by September 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Central may not receive a response. Questions/answers discussed at a site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment. Amendment 001 is issued to answer the following question: Question: What is the piping configuration for each system? Are they single circuit (2 pipe) or dual circuit (4 pipe)? Answer: Bldg 5 is single circuit. Bldg 6 is dual circuit. Amendment 002 is issued to answer questions received.
