This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to complete a construction project to Replace Two Bladder Tanks and Pumphouse to include: All professional services necessary to replace two well bladder tanks (internal bladders included) and a modular shed. Contractor shall transfer all existing and required components from the old shed to the new modular shed. Contractor shall rewire the electric panel and other electrical systems in the new modular shed and ensure it meets NEC requirements. Contractor shall remove redundant wires, components, electrical devices in the existing electric panel (Clean up). All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings and specifications contained in the solicitation documents. A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Participants will meet at: USDA, ARS, Plant Genetic Resources Conservation Unit 1109 Experiment Street Griffin, GA 30223 Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. Pre-register by email notification to Jacqueline McDonald at jacquie.mcdonald@usda.gov. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance, each firm is limited to two individuals. Wearing of face masks and practicing of social distancing is required at the site visit. Quotes MUST be received no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, Thursday, June 10, 2021. Quote must be in writing and emailed to: Shalunda Mix, Contract Specialist USDA ARS SEA AAO Shalunda.mix@usda.gov As noted in Section B.5, please include a detailed breakdown of price with various cost elements per line item (e.g. materials, sub-costs, controllers, etc.) Additional quote instructions can be found in Section L. All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to shalunda.mix@usda.gov by Friday, June 4, 2021. Please reference the solicitation no. 12405B21Q0061 in all email subject lines. Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted by June 4, 2021 may not receive a response. Questions/answers discussed at the site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment.
