This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to complete a construction project to develop and provide a new water well at the Aquatic Animal Health Research Unit in Auburn, AL. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings and specifications contained in the solicitation documents. A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. CST. Participants will meet at: USDA ARS Aquatic Animal Health Research Unit 990 Wire Road Auburn, AL 36832 Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than 9:00 a.m. CST, Monday, March 22, 2021 by email notification to Benjamin.Beck@usda.gov, Tammy.Dorman@usda.gov and shalunda.mix@usda.gov. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance. For the site visit, we ask the following: The names of any visitors, and whether or not they are US citizens (if not, they should bring a passport). We ask that they respond to the employee/visitor COVID site entry checklist (included as a separate attachment to the solicitation. All visitors must wear a mask at all times indoors, or outdoors when within 6 feet of any other person. Quotes MUST be received no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, Friday, April 9, 2021. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Aquatic Animal Health Research Unit in Auburn, AL has a requirement for a construction project to drill, complete, develop and provide a new water well for the Aquatics Lab. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237110 - Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction with a size standard of $39.5M. In Accordance with FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quote (RFQ). The Government anticipates issuing an RFQ for this requirement on/about March 12, 2021. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
