This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to complete the Pre-Engineered Steel Feed Storage Building Construction at the USDA-ARS facilities in Athens, GA. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings and specifications contained in the solicitation documents. A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday September 08, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Participants will meet at: USDA ARS Southeast Poultry Laboratory 934 College Station Road Athens, GA 30605 Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than Tuesday September 08, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time by email notification to Nicholas Langley, Nicholas.Langley@usda.gov, and Jeff Scarbrough, Jeff.Scarbrough@usda.gov. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance. For the site visit, we ask the following:The names of any visitors, and whether or not they are US citizens (if not, they should bring a passport) All visitors must not have had any avian contact for the preceding seven days prior to the visit. We ask that they respond to the employee/visitor COVID site entry checklist (included as a separate attachment to the solicitation. All visitors must wear a mask at all times indoors, or outdoors when within 6 feet of any other person. Quote must be received not later than 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time Monday September 14, 2020. Quote must be in writing and emailed to: Nicholas D. Langley, Contract Specialist USDA ARS SEA AAO Nicholas.Langley@usda.gov Please include a detailed breakdown of price with various cost elements (e.g. materials, sub-costs, controllers, etc.) Additional quote instructions can be found in Section L. All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to Nicholas.Langley@usda.gov by September 08, 2020. Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted by September 08, 2020 may not receive a response. Questions/answers discussed at the site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment. Amendment 001 - The purpose of Amendment 001 is to provide answers for questions received by the cutoff date.
