The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Southeast Area (SEA) Area Administrative Office intends to award a sole source procurement to: Berkeley Nucleonics Corp (BNC Corp) 2955 Kerner Blvd., Suite D. San Rafael, CA 94901-5553 to provide Nine Specialized Scintillation Detectors for the USDA-ARS facilities in Auburn, AL. The contractor is the sole manufacturer and authorized distributor of the required equipment. Pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), and/or FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on or about August 29, 2020. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. This notice is not a request for quotes; however, any firm believing that they can meet or exceed the attached specifications of this requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to meet or exceed the required specifications in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received by 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, August 27, 2020. Responses will only be accepted via email.
