Box 2012, Milwaukee, WI 53201-2012, as they are the sole source for this type of service... Notice of Intent: The USDA, ARS, SEA intends to award a sole source procurement to Johnson Controls, Inc. P. O. Box 2012, Milwaukee, WI 53201-2012, as they are the sole source for this type of service pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(l ) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The procurement is for an annual service contract for the repair, service and maintenance of the York Chillers and Controls at Bldg. 2, JWDSRC in Stoneville, MS. Johnson Controls will provide the service for the (2) York 500 Ton Chillers and the METASYS BAS Controls at the USDA-ARS, Stoneville, MS for a one-year period. The systems that Johnson Controls will maintain are the York Chillers and METASYS BAS Controls. The York Chillers and the METASYS BAS Controls work together as one component and only qualified York/BAS technicians can operate and repair the METASYS BAS Controls. Without Johnson Controls servicing the METASYS BAS Controls, the York Chillers would not operate. Johnson Controls is the only vendor that can provide the updates to the METASYS BAS Controls, no other vendor has rights to the software. Johnson Controls is the only known vendor that has the technicians allowed to service York/BAS units and systems. Johnson Controls of Memphis, TN is the only dealer for this area represented for York. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order on or about November 13, 2019, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This Notice of lntent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received by 2:00 PM central time, November 12, 2019. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
