THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source, to: Agilent Technologies, Inc 2850 Centerville Road Wilmington, DE 19808 Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure the following items: Here are the specification for the UHPLC system we need: 1. We need an UHPLC system that has a flexible pump, auto sampler, thermostat, diode array detector and software. 2. The system needs to be compatible with current HPLC systems. 3. The flexible pump must of 1300 Bars of pressure 4. The Autosampler must be capable of UHP applications up to 1300 bar. Must have an integrated column compartment for two LC columns with temperature control up to 80 °C as well as a sample thermostat for stable temperatures down to 4 °C to 40 °C, all within one module. 5. The Diode Array Detector must be ultrafast with high resolution and Data rates up to 240hz. 6. The system must have a multicolumn thermostat with a temperature range from 4 degrees C to 110 degrees C.
