THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source, to: VICAM, a Water Business 34 Maple St. Milford, MA 01757 Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure the following items: Specific Requirements: Specifications for aflatoxin analyses supplies: Immunoaffinity column: 1 ml syringe-barrel column contains immobilized antibody to aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2 and is filled with preserved buffer solution. Column can be stored for 1 year at room temperature without loss of column performance. Recoveries for a standard aflatoxin solution of 15 ml Ch3OH-H2O (1 + 3) that contains 25 ng B1, 5 ng B2, 15 ng G1, and 5 ng G2 should be at least 90, 80, 90, and 60 %, respectively. Glass microfiber filter paper: 11 cm diameter Disposable cuvettes: ASTM Type 1, 12 x 75 mm borosilicate glass culture tubes, disposable Thermal printer paper: individual roll, compatible with a Vicam Series IV fluorometer Bromine developer concentrate solution: 0.01% bromine in water Fluted, pre-folded filter paper: 24 cm The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516; the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 3:00 PM Central Time on August 16, 2019, will be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Lynn Hults at lynn.hults@ars.usda.gov.
