This announcement closes on December 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY - NO AWARD WILL BE MADE FROM THIS NOTICE. This NOTICE is published to gain knowledge of potential firms capable of providing these services that will be used for laboratory analyses at three Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) labs located at: 1) Eastern Laboratory, 950 College Station Road, Athens, Georgia 30605; 2) Midwestern Laboratory, 4300 Goodfellow Blvd., Bldg. 105D, PO Box 200005, St. Louis, MO 63120-0005; and 3) Western Laboratory, 800 Buchanan Street, Albany, CA 94710. Potential firms with the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the requirement described in the (SOW) below are invited to provide a detailed Capability Statement. Statement of Work: Background The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), a public health regulatory agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), protects consumers by ensuring that meat, poultry and egg products are safe, wholesome, and accurately labeled. Objective/Scope The USDA FSIS needs: Dry ice: 300 pounds per week. Liquid Nitrogen: 450 HP cylinder, at least two refills per week, Telemetry monitoring required Argon: Ultra-High Purity, 5.0 Grade, cylinder size 300, CGA-580, at least 2 cylinders per month Helium: Ultra-High Purity, 5.0 Grade, cylinder size 300, CGA-580, at least 2 cylinders per month Propane: 1 per quarter, PR 33, 32 lb. for forklift Quantities listed above are estimates based on past practices at the Western Laboratory, Albany, CA. The Eastern and Midwestern Laboratories may require all or some of the requirements listed above, in addition to the Western Laboratory. Emergency orders may be necessary based on total number of samples analyzed at the Eastern, Midwestern, and Western Laboratories. As part of your Capability Statement, please include any current or past performance you have been awarded to include the customer, title of project and description, dollar amount, period of performance, and customer POC, or the ability to obtain sufficient proof of capability for these types of services.
