End of the World Long Term Stewardship
The U.S. Forest Service is requesting proposals for the End of the World G-Z Long-Term IRSC, a long-term stewardship contract covering approximately 50,000 acres on the Salmon River Ranger District of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. The project authorizes commercial treatment on over 17,000 acres, primarily intermediate harvest, to thin overstocked stands, reduce catastrophic wildfire risk, improve stand health, and supply timber and forest products to local facilities. Work occurs within the Wildland Urban Interface and includes numerous private inholdings with seasonal and permanent residents. This acquisition is unrestricted and not set aside for small business; NAICS code 113310 applies with a 500-employee size standard. Proposals are to be submitted via email to the listed USDA contacts.
