Galloway G-Z Stewardship IRSC
The U.S. Forest Service is seeking information for a forest stewardship project in the Tahoe National Forest to improve forest health, reduce wildfire risk, and protect water supplies. The work involves treating approximately 5,127 gross acres over a contract term of up to 5 years, including timber harvest preparation, timber and biomass removal, road work, and low-value stand treatments. The project anticipates offering over 15 million board feet of commercial timber and 8,000+ cubic feet of biomass. Performance will be at the Galloway G-Z Stewardship area within the Tahoe National Forest. Payment will offset service costs with timber value, and specific wage acts and bonding will apply.
