End of the World Long Term Stewardship
The U.S. Forest Service is re-issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for a potential 10-year integrated resource stewardship contract in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest, primarily targeting the End of the World Planning Area. The objectives are to reduce risks from insects, disease, and wildfire while improving forest vegetation and water quality across approximately 17,000 gross acres. The scope of work may include timber removal, road maintenance and construction, biomass removal, and various vegetation treatments. A site visit is scheduled for October 30, 2025, to discuss the project in detail. This is for planning purposes only to gather feedback on scope and feasibility, and no contract will be awarded from this RFI.
