Description of Requirement: The Francis Marion National Forest is soliciting the rental of an enclosed mastication machine for vegetation pruning at multiple locations on the forest. The request is for the drop off and pick up ofthe masticator only, as Forest Service personnel will operate the machine and transport to various worksite locations on Forest Service trailers during the period of performance and return the masticator to the pick-up location. The Forest Service is requesting rental of the masticator, by the month, for two months, from 8/01/2023 through 10/01/2023. The date of drop off and pick up may be adjusted at time of award. Location: The masticator will be dropped off at the offices of the Francis Marion National Forest, 2967 Steed Creek Rd, Huger, SC 29450 by 8/01/2023. The Forest Service will utilize (operated by trained personnel) the masticator from 8/01/2023 through 9/30/2023, with the awarded business arranging for pick-up of the masticator on 10/01/2023. Drop off and pick up arrangements will be made by phone with the COR (Anthony James Carasea, 843-887-3257, anthony.carasea@usda.gov) for the purchase at least two days prior to arrival.
