Section 8205 supersedes the temporary authority granted to the Forest Service (Government) in section 347 of Public Law 105-277, the Omnibus Consolidated and Emergency Appropriations Act, 1999. NAICS: 115310: Support Services for Forestry, size standard: 20.5M Fuels Management Services. Stewardship authorities permit the Government to solicit this requirement as Full and Open competition. Project Location: The project is located on the Barlow Ranger District of the Mt. Hood National Forest in Wasco County approximately 6 ½ miles west of the unincorporated community of Pine Grove, Oregon. Description of Work: Two awards may be made for this solicitation. One for the Bull Complex Fire Suppression Repair and one for White River Fire Recovery. The overall objective of this project is to facilitate ongoing fire recovery actives within the 2020 White River Fire area and Bull Complex Fire suppression repair. Activities include performing essential maintenance of roads that were impacted by fire, mitigation of fire killed/damaged roadside fuel accumulation, site preparation for future reforestation, and erosion control and slash treatment of suppression lines. This will be done by accomplishing the following: Felling fire killed/damaged standing fuels. Removing Included Grn Bio CV. Piling residual fuels. Maintaining and reconstructing roads. Treatment of slash and erosion control work. It is highly desired to complete the slash treatment of the Bull Complex Fire utilizing an air curtain burner or other innovative technologies. Contractors proposing to complete the desired end results of complete slash disposal of the Bull Complex requirements will receive increased consideration of award. Two awards may be made from the solicitation. One award for the White River Fire project work, and one for the Bull complex suppression repair.
