Project Name: Rock Creek Stewardship IRSC Administrative Unit: Pacific Southwest Region (R5), Stanislaus National Forest, Mi-Wok Ranger District, CA Project Location: The project area is located in the Rock, Bell, and Lily Creek Watersheds in the general area of between the Clavey River, Bourland Mountain, and Looney Creek. The project area lies entirely on National Forest System lands within the administrative boundaries of the Mi-Wok Ranger District, Stanislaus National Forest in California. Legal land description is T.6N., R.19E., Sec. 22-25; and T.3N., R.18E., Sec. 2-3, 10-16, 21-24, & 26-29; MDBM; Tuolumne County, CA. See attached Vicinity Map. Description: The Stanislaus National Forest is currently preparing the Rock Creek Stewardship IRSC which aims to restore forest health and reduce the risk of high severity wildfire across mixed conifer forested stands within the project area. Goals will be accomplished through a series of silvicultural and fuels management activities designed to reduce mixed conifer stand density and manage ladder fuels in the stands. The resultant contract will include Forest product removal on 1,673 acres and hazard tree removal on 19.5 road miles with an estimated volume of 24.4 CCF of sawlogs (13.8 mmbf) and 29 CCF of biomass/cull products. The following work activities are anticipated as mandatory service items: Logging of biomass products. Logging of cull hazard trees. Hauling of biomass/cull products. Follow this presolicitation notice for future notifications of the solicitation anticipated to be issued late May 2022. The Forest will hold a site visit in early June 2022 for prospective contractors to facilitate dialogue on contractual requirements that are anticipated in the contract and any operational limitations foreseen by attendees.
