The purpose of this project is to remove and control undesirable non-native invasive plant species in areas on 75 acres withing the Greenbrier Ranger District, specifically along FR 44. All Autumn Olive, Japanese Barberry, Multiflora Rose, and Honeysuckle within treatment areas 1 through 11, shall be completely severed at the stem and the stump shall be directly treated with herbicide to prevent damaging surrounding vegetation while killing targeted species and preventing further spreading of NNIS. Stumps shall be treated with a 50% glyphosate/water mixture with marking dye. A Glyphosate recommended for use in aquatic/wet soils (such as Rodeo or AquaNeat) shall be used for the entire treatment area, due to the treatment areas’ proximity to water and drainage. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, supplies, permits, licenses, and incidentals necessary to perform the required services on the Monongahela National Forest.
