Contractors are not mandated to acknowledge this Amendment. No time Extension will be given. These changes are incorporated and reflected in the Base Solicitation and all attachments to be posted soon. Scope of Contract The intent of this solicitation and any resulting contract is to apply herbicides on understory vegetation in designated areas on the Allegheny National Forest using contractor supplied spray equipment. Total estimated acres for treatment = 268. These are estimates and may vary with resurvey. This is a firm fixed price opportunity and the contractor shall furnish all equipment (except for that listed as Government Furnished Property), labor, materials, herbicide (OUST® XP and RODEO®), surfactant (Chemsurf 90), transportation, supervision, and incidentals necessary to apply herbicide in accordance with this contract. This is a Stewardship funded project that has a full and open competition. The full solicitation and all attachments will be posted on or about: 28 April 2021. Please reply via Email as the CV 19 restrictions preclude 100% daily telephone surveilance and response. Project area maps are attached for the estimated 268 acres. Description and Location 121 – The areas to be sprayed are located on the Bradford Ranger District of the Allegheny National Forest in Warren, McKean and Forest County. 122 – See attached Location Table and Project Area Location Maps for specific location information. (“Attachment 1 – Area Spray Maps – 5.pdf”) 123 – The general location of and access to each unit will be shown on attached project area location maps which will be attached to the contract as a pdf. Detailed unit specific maps shall be made available to the successful bidder at the pre-work meeting. 124 – Interfering understory vegetation includes Japanese stiltgrass, fern, grass, rubus, bindweed, American beech, black birch and striped maple. Each unit will have one or more of these target/alternate species identified for treatment, as well as the prescribed herbicide (Oust® XP and RODEO® -are the mandatory brands to be used) to be applied to treat the entire stand area.
