THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Contracting Operations Branch-Construction Team has a requirement to remodel an existing greenhouse in Tifton, GA. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control to repair aging/damaged building infrastructure components and systems to restore greenhouse functionality. This pre-solicitation announcement includes a draft copy of the Scope of Work (SOW). The solicitation is anticipated to be issued in or around July 15, 2025. All dates are tentative and for planning purposes only. The contract is anticipated to be awarded in September 2025. The resulting contract shall be a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The solicitation shall be a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36 Construction Contracts. The NAICS Code is anticipated to be 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $45M. The anticipated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFP package and any amendments.
