The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Contracting Operations Branch-Construction Team has a requirement to replace an existing Trane chiller in Poplarville, MS. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control to perform removal of an existing Train RTAF chiller and install a new properly sized Trane air-cooled chiller (RTAF-230). Vendors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Vendors interested in attending the site visit must notify the Contracting Officer at osvaldo.rodriguez@usda.gov by 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time on July 7, 2025, to be added to the approved list. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Contracting Operations Branch-Construction Team has a requirement to replace an existing Trane chiller in Poplarville, MS. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control to perform removal of an existing Train RTAF chiller and install a new properly sized Trane air-cooled chiller (RTAF-230). This pre-solicitation announcement includes a draft copy of the Statement of Work (SOW). The solicitation is anticipated to be issued in or around June 20, 2025. All dates are tentative and for planning purposes only. The contract is anticipated to be awarded in August/September 2025. The resulting contract shall be a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The solicitation shall be a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36 Construction Contracts. The NAICS Code is anticipated to be 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a size standard of $19M. The anticipated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFP package and any amendments.
