The project is located at USDA, ARS, Crop Genetics & Breeding Research Unit, Southeast Watershed Pesticide Laboratory, 2381A & B Rainwater Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793. Type of Notice: Pre-Solicitation Notice Title: RFQ # 1232SA25Q0653 - Roofing Remodel (Tifton, GA) Description: THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Crop Genetics & Breeding Research Unit has a construction requirement to replace aging roofing materials with identical 26 gauge (field verify) standing seam metal roofs on multiple location buildings to enhance the productivity of each building in support of USDA-ARS research mission objectives. The project is located at USDA, ARS, Crop Genetics & Breeding Research Unit, Southeast Watershed Pesticide Laboratory, 2381A & B Rainwater Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and supervision performing all required work in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) for this requirement. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. USDA will issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) 1232SA25Q0653, may be issued on or around August 30, 2025. The upcoming solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Number 2025-04 dated 06/11/2025. The requirement will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside, under NAICS Code 238160 with a size standard of $19M. Completion timeframe for the resulting contract is to be determined. The RFQ will be accessible via https://sam.gov/ in the “Contracting Opportunities” section. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFQ package and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored.
