Amendment of Pre-Solictation Notice 000001- The purpose of the amendment is to extend the the notice to 08/08/20223 4 PM EST due to the change in Set Aside from Unrestricted to Total Samall Business Set Aside. FOR INFORMATION ONLY: This Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation Notice is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation is anticipated and forthcoming. All questions regarding this Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation should be submitted in writing to the Point of Contact(s) indicated below. Construction Project: The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. The USDA Agricultural Research Service-Contracting Operations Branch seeks to award a construction project to replace the main electrical switchgear, emergency generator and electrical distribution panels of the Laboratory Building at the Appalachian Fruit Research Station located at 2217 Wiltshire Road Kearneysville, WV 25430. The replacement of the Main Electric Switchgear, existing diesel fired Emergency Generator with a propane fired Emergency Generator and the replacement of the electric distribution panels. Phasing of this work is critical and must be coordinated with the facility to maintain security in an active research and education facility with minimal interruption to research activities. Solicitation number 1232SA23R0010 will be posted to www.sam.gov website, on or about 4 August 2023. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal. Proposals will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237130, Power and Communication Line and related Structures Construction. The solicitation will be unrestricted. The solicitation documents for this requirement will be issued in electronic format only and will be made available online via the SAM website at www.sam.gov. NO CD's OR HARD COPIES WILL BE AVAILABLE. Offerors are responsible for checking for any update(s) to the Notice/Solicitation.
