The U.S. Forest Service plans to award a firm-fixed-price contract for five custom-built Type 3H heavy fire engine bodies, which will be mounted on government-furnished chassis per national standard specifications. The contract is a 100% total small business set-aside under simplified acquisition procedures. Performance includes operational training and delivery to various locations in Colorado, Oregon, and South Dakota. The solicitation is anticipated approximately 15 business days after this pre-solicitation notice. Delivery of the completed apparatuses is required within 24 months from receipt of the first government-furnished chassis.
