This requirement of the solicitation has changed from providing a turnkey fire engine (vendor provides body AND chassis) to vendor providing the body only. The body shall be mounted on a Govt-furnished chassis. The U.S. Forest Service is seeking to acquire Type 3 Fire Engines, body only, mounted on a government-furnished 4X2 cab and chassis Model 326 or a government furnished 4X4 cab and chassis Model 348 in accordance with Forest Service Standard Specifications. The Contractor will provide these items in the required Quantity of twenty-one (21), by predetermined, mandatory delivery dates. This work includes Operational Training and Delivery to various Forest Service locations in Arizona and California.
