The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis to the PORK SAFETY CONSULTING in the amount of $27,552.00. ARS is engaged in high-throughput testing of pork samples for the presence of Trichinella parasites at the request of USDA-APHIS. More than 50,000 samples are being received each week, and the study requires biweekly reports on the progress of the testing, the participation rates of particular packers, and other related metadata associated with the samples. Support services are required from a source knowledgeable in the USDA protocol for testing PQA Plus pigs using the artificial direction method. These services include: • Enter daily sample data supplied by packers • Consolidate data by week (summaries and weekly test results) and provide reports. • Coordinate with ARS lab personnel to assure accuracy of collected data The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 112210 Pig Farming. The government intends to issue the award using 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources who believe they can meet the government's requirements may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Prospective vendors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications and shall be registered in the System for Award Management database at http://www.sam.gov.
