This is neither a solicitation announcement nor a Request for Quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make the appropriate acquisition decision(s) and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. The USDA-ARS, Animal Genomics and Improvement Laboratory (AGIL), Beltsville, MD requires annual support and maintenance for forty-seven(47) GrowSafe 8000-series feeding nodes, as well as a license for the use of the Feed Intake Software, including any available upgrades OBJECTIVE: This vendor needs to be capable of performing annual maintenance to maintain equipment in good working order and to ensure the accuracy of data generated by the system. A license for the use of the Feed Intake Software, including any available enhancements, is also required. The vendor needs to supply the central controller/monitor, and a wireless communication system to connect the two outer buildings with the controller/monitor in the main building. The system must also be able to connect to their current alarm system All interested parties who can supply the requested annual support and maintenance as described above shall provide an email response to this notice and include the following: Company Name, Address, Point of contact, Phone, Fax, and Email, DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax ID Number, Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. USDA ARS will not pay for information received in response to the Sources Sought. Do not submit pricing information in response to the Sources Sought. All responses must be received no later than Thursday, March 24, 2022, by 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Times (EST) local time.
