This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) located in Beltsville, MD is issuing this request as a means of conducting market research to identify qualified parties having the technical capabilities and the resources to provide services identified in this announcement. The USDA ARS is seeking firms who are capable and have ability to provide maintenance to one 30+ year-old JEOL JEM100CX transmission electron microscope serial number 156073-25. Maintenance must be provided by Jeol, Inc. manufacturer factory trained engineers to include all services for two preventive maintenance visits, unlimited additional visits to perform any unscheduled maintenance, emergency calls as necessary, and inclusive of all parts. Contract type will be Firm Fixed Price FOB Destination inclusive of all costs associated with providing all preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, technical support, labor, service, parts, and travel. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available. Interested parties with proven capabilities must identify their qualifications and capability of meeting requirements by submitting written documentation and statement that shows ability and previous experience providing JEM100CX services and repairs, providing Jeol factory trained engineers, providing unlimited JEM100CX technical telephone support, unlimited emergency visits, two preventive maintenance visits, repair parts, response time of one working day, and inclusive of apertures and scintillators. Also must provide and include with the capability and qualifications statement the complete and current record of your SAMs Registration which includes DUNS number, organization name, address, contact name, email address, web site address, telephone number, etc. Submission Instructions: Interested parties are invited to submit a response not later than 3:00 PM (EST) April 13, 2021. All responses shall be furnished by email and sent to tim.smearman@usda.gov. Response must include all information requested above. No feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Reponses will be used to make determination on if adequate sources exist to conduct a competitive procurement.
