This is a notification of an intent to award a single source procurement under NAICS code 541714. The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), National Center for Cool and Coldwater Aquaculture in Kearneysville, WV (NCCCWA) in Kearneysville, WV will solicit and award a purchase order to provide DNA extraction and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping of the Atlantic salmon DNA samples using the N.A. Atlantic Salmon50K Axiom myDesign TG array for single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping in the 384-well format (Thermo-Fisher SKU number 551260 or Neogen SKU number 478) on the GeneTitan Instrument or equal. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide this requirement. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to Dilynn Rogers at dilynn.rogers@usda.gov by 7/25/2021. Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirements. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since the synopsis is not a request for proposal. A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to dilynn.rogers@usda.gov. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by 7/25/2021 at 12:00 PM EST, an award will be made to the Center for Aquaculture Technologies.

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
