The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) issues this Request for Quotes (RFQ) for a firm fixed-price service contract for: The ARS Grape Genetics Research Unit (GGRU) in Geneva, New York requires a contractor to provide two thermal cameras for the following applications: 1) A700 thermal camera mounted to a laboratory leaf disc imaging robot, and 2) A6701 thermal camera mounted to a vineyard rover. These systems are in development, and the selected specific models that meet our needs and provide adaptability for future changes. These cameras must be capable of the following application requirements for accurate and quick thermal measurements and will save significant person-hours in testing and reporting time. FLIR Systems is the leading manufacturer of infrared cameras in the world, and as a result, offers the long-term service, support, and training we will need. FLIR Systems, through the Infrared Training Center (ITC), is the only infrared camera manufacturer to offer Thermographer certification and free eLearning classes. Statement of Work and Evaluation criteria are Attached The solicitation document, with the incorporated clauses and provisions, is issued in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. Interested vendors should reference the solicitation documents for all terms and conditions, evaluation factors and submission requirements. Award will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP). Biobased Products: This procurement requires the use of Biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. All supplies and materials shall be of a type and quantity that conform to applicable Federal specifications and standards, and to the extent feasible and reasonable, include the exclusive use of biobased and recycled products.
