The USDA-ARS-N... THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The intent of this Pre-Solicitation Notice is for informational purposes only. The USDA-ARS-NEA Procurement Section, Peoria, IL intends to award a sole-source procurement to Boland, 30 West Watkins Mill Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. Pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No other Contractor is capable of satisfying Agency Requirements. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Contract for Upgrade Trane Tracer Summit Building Control System in Building 161 to Tracer SC+ open protocol web-based system on or about September 18, 2019, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. The NAICS code for this action is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. ARS requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must have an "Active Registration" in SAM (System for Award Management). For additional information please access the following website: http://www.sam.gov Written responses to this special notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The government may consider responses received by 5PM EDT, September 12, 2019. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no written responses are received after the publication of this notice the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
