The USDA-ARS-N... THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The intent of this Pre-Solicitation Notice is for informational purposes only. The USDA-ARS-NEA Procurement Section, Peoria, IL intends to award a sole-source procurement to Spacesaver Systems Inc, 10800 Connecticut Ave. Kensington MD 20895 Pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No other Contractor is capable of satisfying Agency Requirements. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Contract for Supply and Install of 29 Viking Botany Cabinets to replace existing damaged cabinets currently integrated into Spacesaver Mobile Systems in Building 010A on or about August 12, 2018, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. The NAICS code for this action is 238990. ARS requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must have an "Active Registration" in SAM (System for Award Management). For additional information please access the following website: http://www.sam.gov Written responses to this special notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The government may consider responses received by 2PM EDT, August 12, 2019. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
