The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and supplies necessary for the performance of this contract: Carlton Complex Burned Fence Repair project consists of the repair of approximately 1 mile of four-strand barbwire fence. The fenceline is in a mix of grasslands and burned forest (mostly all pine) in mostly genital topography but with two relatively deep and steep draws. There are no live trees anywhere along the fenceline. The fence will need to be repaired to Forest Service specifications that are designed to make the damaged fence functional to stop cattle and to upgrade some old nonconventional steel posts on one section of fence. Fence materials will be provided by the Forest Service and will be made available at the Winthrop District office. There is no direct road access to the fenceline, but ATV/UTV access will likely be possible. This a less than $25,000 project but due to the lack of resources available in the Methow Valley area, it was necessary for the Forest Service to advertise in beta.SAM.gov in order to get as many quotes as possible from as many vendors as possible.
