This procurement and any resulting order, is for the procurement that requires mowing vegetation in seed orchard sites at various locations on the Colville National Forest and related work in compliance with its terms, specifications and provisions. The primary objective for mowing is to cut as much non-tree vegetation as possible within the enclosed seed orchards, to reduce fire risk and intensity, and to reduce the spread of undesirable vegetation. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, operating supplies and incidentals, supervision and transportation of equipment, and operators needed to mow seed orchard sites. The number of mowing passes required will depend on vegetative conditions in individual seed orchards and the type of equipment the contractor uses to mow the orchards. No tracked equipment will be allowed. Only equipment with rubber tires will be allowed to mow in the orchards. Location and Description All Seed Orchards are located in the Colville National Forest. There are a total of 5 sites ranging from 25 acres to 48 acres. The Solicitation will have the locations of seed Orchards. The solicitation will be posted around January 7th 2019. The desired start of work is June 2019. This is a one year contract with 2 Optional Years for what could possibly be a 3 year contract.
