Biomass Abatement Falls View Campground, Olympic National Forest. The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract services for the removal of slash piles from the Falls View Campground. The Falls View campground has undergone a sanitation timber sale to address the removal of diseased trees affected by laminated root rot within an approximately 22 acre recreation site. The resulting timber harvest activities have produced numerous piles of non-merchantable woody debris (slash). This solicitation and any resulting contract is for the removal of the slash piles. This solicitation will result in a fixed price contract. The period of performance is from June 01, 2020, to August 28, 2020. Project area is on the Hood Canal Ranger District, Olympic National Forest, Washington. Project Manager is Mr. Jimmy Flanagan at jimmy.flanagan@usda.gov, or 360-288-0238. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Quotes, under FAR Part 13. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government Service Contract Labor Standards (formerly nameed Service Contract Act) wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm, fixed price. This solicitation will be available on, or about, APR. 20, 2020. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. Prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
