Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Cutting Roadway/Roadside Vegetation (Machine Brushing). The Colville National Forest has a requirement for Roadway Vegetation Maintenance (machine brushing, cutting and removal of unwanted vegetation) along various Forest Service Roads (FSRs) throughout the Colville National Forest. Location of the work will be in Stevens, Ferry and Pend Oreille Counties, Washington (located in the NE portion of Washington State). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies and incidentals necessary to perform machine roadside brush cutting and clearing with the objective of successful, quality performance resulting in a clear line of sight, clear of debris as outlined in the specifications. There will be one award from this solicitation. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price. It will have a base item of 132.037 miles and an option item up to for 59.624 miles. If the base and the total option item is awarded, the contract will be for191.661 miles. Price shall be quoted by the mile. Cost for mobilization and moves between job locations will be considered incidental to the work and Contractor shall include that cost in with their price per mile. It is estimated contract will start the middle to end of June. Contract completion date is November 15, 2020. The Government will accept quotes with alternate completion dates; however may give preferences to those firms who can compete the project by November 15, 2020. The Contractor will be paid for actual work ordered, performed and accepted by the Government. This project will be advertised as a written request for quotes (RFQ). The solicitation will be issue on May 22, 2020. The solicitation will be posted electronically at this Contract Opportunity site when it issues. No hard copies of the solicitation or amendments will be mailed. The actual due date will be listed in the solicitation. Award will be made to the quote whose quote offers the best value to the Government. The project is a 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 115310 and size standard is $20.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at the site on the issue date.
