*** THE FULL SOLICITATION ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: Electronically uploaded to beta.SAM on or about March 23, 2020. *** The USDA, Forest Service, intends to acquire via a construction contract one new log picnic shelter at Castle Rock Campground, Hebo Ranger District, Siuslaw National Forest (Tillamook County, Oregon). This project will include relocating existing picnic tables and fire pits, grading for structure, concrete footings and floor, shop drawings for the manufactured structure, construction on site, and gravel accessible paths. Dimensions of the new picnic shelter are approximately: 36’ x 28’ x 12’. The magnitude of construction for this acquisition is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract. This project is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. A bid bond (20 percent) will be required for offers exceeding $150,000. After award, a payment bond (100 percent) and a performance bond (100 percent) will be required of the successful awardee. Contract time will be 120 days, however on-site work will be restricted to the dates from September 8, 2020 through November 6, 2020. The additional days are allowed for submission of shop drawings and other submittals for approval. NOTE: Prospective awardees must be registered and in “active status” in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base prior to award.
