*** THE FULL SOLICITATION ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: Electronically in Federal Business Opportunities on or about June 10, 2019. *** The US Forest Service, Region 6, Deschutes National Forest has a requirement to replace the existing HVAC system at the Redmond Air Center (RAC) Air Tanker Base and Paraloft building (Deschutes County, Oregon). Work includes: (1) the removal and disposal of the existing HVAC system, including, but not limited to: heating and AC units, water piping, ducting, and associated components. Some of the existing HVAC components are to remain to be reintegrated into the new system; (2) the installation of a new HVAC system, including, but not limited to: furnaces, condensing units, exhaust fans, ductwork, gas piping, make up air unit, and controls. Electrical work will be required to complete the installation of the HVAC system. The Air Tanker Base building is a single story 3,750 square foot building, which is primarily administration and operations space with several small offices, conference room, kitchen, and bunkroom. The building is heated with a LP gas-fired furnace and cooled with central AC units. There are two furnace units, one with 8 zone dampers and the other with 6 zone dampers. This requirement is to replace the 14 zone dampers with 2 zones per unit. The IT room will be removed from the main forced air unit and replaced with a new ductless heat pump system. Project Location: Redmond Air Center (near the Redmond, OR airport), 1740 SE Ochoco Way, Redmond, OR 97756 The Government's estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. A payment bond (100 percent) will be required after award. Contract performance time of 45 calendar days is estimated to begin on July 15, 2019. The project is 100% set aside for Small Business concerns. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base prior to award.
