The U.S. Forest Service, Region 6, Siuslaw National Forest has a requirement for the Drift Creek Falls Deck Replacement Project, Hebo Ranger District, Lincoln County, Oregon. The project includes but is not limited to: Furnishing all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals necessary to complete installation of new deck planks on a 240' span suspension bridge located 1.25 miles down a remote trail from a traihead/parking lot area. Work for this project includes the removal (and disposal off of government land) of 241 existing trail bridge deck planks and placement of 241 new trail bridge deck planks. Project Location: from Salem, Oregon - follow OR-22 W and OR-18 W for approx. 48 miles. Turn left onto N Bear Creek Road (eventually turns into FS Road 17) and travel 8.9 miles to the Drift Creek Falls trail head. Follow FS trail 1378 1.25 miles to the project site. (44.93325°N, -123.85033°W) The Government's estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. A payment bond (100 percent) will be required after award. Contract performance time is estimated to begin April 15, 2019 with project ready for use in 40 calendar days. FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION contact Cole Smith at 541.225.6242. It is estimated that full solicitation package will be uploaded to FBO on or around March 19, 2019. This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Preferred Program (FB4P). Note: prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base prior to award.
