The Forest Service is soliciting a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to acquire the following: This project connects Shadow Bay Campground to an underground water supply (well) removing the current surface water source (Waldo Lake) to provide a safer water supply. This is an update to the existing OHA public water system #4192815 records. The work of this Contract includes all labor and materials required to: 1. Drill and develop new water well (100 feet minimum depth producing a minimum 20 gpm of water). 2. Install pitless adapter in well. 3. Construct concrete pad with Transenclosure over well. 3. Install new submersible pump in well. 4. Install water level transducer in well. 5. Retrofit pump controls in water system building from removed wet well submersible pump to operate well submersible pump. 6. Install water level display (stand-alone unit) display connected to transducer in well. 7. Install water pipe with power cable and transducer cable in joint trench between from well to water system building. 8. Cap and abandon the existing Waldo Lake surface water inlet pipe, remove submersible pump, fill and abandon pump wet well. This project shall require construction by an Oregon of State licensed plumbing / electrical contractor and all aspects shall comply with the Oregon Administrative Rules for Well Construction issued by the Oregon Water Resources Department. This project site is accessible by wheeled vehicle but is not open for public access. The Contractor shall keep existing gate(s) closed and locked or provide temporary vehicle barriers /chains / cables to prevent public vehicle access when contractor is not on-site if well head is not yet sealed/secured or there are safety, or potential hazards to public. Project Location: The project is located East of Eugene Oregon at Waldo Lake. From Eugene Oregon, travel on Highway 58 approximately 67 miles. Turn left (North) onto Forest Road #5897 and travel approximately 6 miles to Forest Road #5896 intersection. . Travel approximately 1.5 miles on Forest Service Road# 5896 to Shadow Bay Campground project site. Elevation is approximately 5,400 feet. Approximate Coordinates: N 43.701084, W 122.042825 Period of performance is 1 October 2020 to 30 November 2020. The magnitude of this project is between $35,000.00 and $100,000.00. Quoters must ensure registration in the System for Award Management database at https://www.sam.gov prior to any contract award.
