The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding(s) (MOUs) will be to provide a general framework for verification of all wildland fire personnel qualifications under Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) Agreements, in positions that require training above RT-130, including engine personnel, fallers, fire-line qualified EMTs and Paramedics. Under the terms of this MOU, members of Pacific Northwest Wildfire Coordination Group (PNWCG) and the Provider propose to form a partnership whereby the Provider agrees to verify personnel qualifications of contractors working under the VIPR Agreements. According to the terms and conditions of this MOU, PNWCG agrees to recognize verification of wildland fire personnel completed by the Provider*. This will provide the checks and balances necessary for PNWCG to recognize that personnel qualifications meet minimum standards provided under the Region 6 US Forest Service VIPR Agreements. MOU applications must be received by October 31, 2024. Providers will be notified of selection by prior to December 20, 2024. Submit by mail to Redmond Air Center, Fire Contracting Operations, 1740 S.E. Ochoco Way, Redmond, OR 97756 Applications received by email will not be accepted. Selected providers may be required to attend a 2-4 hour meeting in January/February 2025 to review what is expected of the providers.
