This contract is for Part 1 of the Lolo Motorway Surface and Drainage Improvement Project on the Nez Perce- Clearwater National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho. Part 1 requires completing approximately 16 miles of road reconditioning and 5 ½ miles of full depth reclamation. In addition, 12” and 18” culvert shall be removed and replaced and excavation and embankment shall be performed to widen existing narrow sections of the road. Shaping of the road to provide appropriate drainage and cleaning of the ditches and catch basins of existing culverts is also required along with installation of driveable drainage dips. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, structures, supervision, transportation, operating supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals necessary to complete the project as required by the contract, plans, and specifications. The project is approximately 43.5 mi east of Kamiah, Idaho. From Kamiah take Woodland Road 0.50 Miles. Turn right onto Glenwood for approximately 11.3 miles to Road #100 which is an extension of Tommy Taha Connect. Stay on Road #100 for approximately 16.2 miles to Road #103. Turn right on Road #103 for approximately 14.8 miles to the junction with Road #104. Turn right on Road # 104 for approximately 0.75 Miles to the junction with Road #500 – Pete’s Fork Junction (MP 22.59) start of the project. This project is located on the Lochsa Ranger District and begins in Township 36 North Range 7 East and goes through T36N R8E, T36N R9E, T36N R10E, T37N R10E, and Ends in Township 37 North, Range 11 East, at Road #500 junction with Road #107. Government cost estimate, per FAR 36.204, is between $100,000 - $250,000. No pre-bid tour is planned. Estimated start date: 8/1/2020 Completion deadline: 10/31/2020. (See Section F, FAR Clause 52.211-10 Alt I.) IMPORTANT: Construction/reconstruction work on the Lolo Motorway (Road 500) is prohibited from August 3, 2020 through August 7, 2020. Equipment must be moved off the road prism during this period to allow the public total access of the roadway for the scheduled Appaloosa Trail Ride. This project has been solicited as total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. RFQ was amended on 6/19/2020 to add a 6-inch depth requirement to the Full Depth Reclamation specification found within Attachment J-2 Forest Service Supplemental Specifications.
