The USDA Forest Service, Western Montana Acquisition Zone (WMAZ), Lolo National Forest, is solciting a Request for Quote (RFQ) 12034320Q0127 for a firm fixed price construction contract for Little Missouri National Grassland (LMNG) Tornado Shelters project. The project site is located at two locations in the Medora & McKenzie Ranger Districts of the Dakota Prairie Grasslands, Stark & McKenzie County, North Dakota. The address is 111 40th Avenue SW, Dickinson ND, 58601 and 1905 Main Street S, Watford City ND, 58854 This project consists of furnishing, placing and anchoring 3 above ground, 8 foot wide by 10 foot long by 8 foot 4 inches high (at the peak), reinforced concrete tornado shelters plus anchoring system at two locations. The shelters shall meet FEMA publications 320, 361 and ICC 500 specifications. The furnished shelters shall be equipped with an emergency escape hatch, ground anchors and FEMA 361 Safety and Comfort Kit. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work according to the specifications and contract documents. Documents are now attached. It is anticipated that work can begin on or around 1 June 2020. Contract time will run continuously and all work must be completed by July 15, 2020. This project is being solicited as a 100% set aside for Small Business. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to applicable wage rates. All responsible small businesses may now submit an RFQ in response to Solicitation number: 12034320Q0127. Documents are attached.
