The project consists of Best Management Practice (BMP) upgrades, road improvement work, and gravel surfacing placement. Work includes roadway preparation by blading, shaping, and compaction of existing roadway, ditch and shoulder reconditioning as necessary, and gravel surfacing placement at specified locations. This work will also include construction of drain dips suitable for log truck traffic at staked locations within the roadways as well as the vertical re-alignment of bridge approaches to lower the road so as to prevent sediment delivery to stream. A primary element of this project will be the manufacture, delivery, and proper placement of gravel surfacing, to include blading, watering, and compacting at a specified thickness. Gravel must be produced to meet the specification of F-SR with bentonite as specified in contract.
