Project Description: This contract shall require tree removal and site preparation to allow for improvements to the site. These improvements shall include extending existing electrical and water service to the new building location and installing a new sewer service including a gas trap, septic tank, and a new manholed sewer service connection to the existing sewer main in the highway right-of-way. Highway repairs (demolition, curb and gutter, asphalt and trench compaction) shall be required in connection to the manhole construction along with traffic control. The contractor shall install a building pad and a new precast concrete building, to house the government-furnished SCAT machine (portable toilet wash station) . Contractor shall set equipment and install interior finishes/fixtures for the building, plumbing, backflow prevention assembly, heating, and electrical improvements to service the SCAT machine and a small hand wash station within the precast concrete building. A new gravel roadway shall be constructed and improvements made to existing drives allowing access to the precast concrete building, housing the SCAT machine. Cleanup, signage, and restoration of site including underground irrigation shall be completed to bring the site to a fully functioning and usable condition. Project location: The project site is adjacent to the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area (Riggins office) on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The office is located approximately 45 miles south of Grangeville, Idaho, and 46 miles north of McCall, Idaho at 1339 Hwy 95, Riggins, ID 83549. Price Range: The Government's estimate for the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Start Work: Work on the project site shall commence no earlier than July 1, 2019 and proceed in accordance with the contractor's approved work schedule and run continuously till the end of the project no later than October 31, 2019. Government-Furnished Property: SCAT machine (portable toilet wash station). The solicitation was issued in May with award planned for late-June. No bid bonds are required. Technical proposals are required. The contract awardee shall be required to secure payment protection in the form of a paymnet bond, irrevocable letter of credit or cashier's check.
