This project consists of the replacing an old, failing diversion structure on Lump Gulch that diverts water to Park Lake, and reconstructing a section of the stream to accommodate aquatic organism passage. Work will include construction and reclamation of a temporary access road, removal and disposal of the existing timber structure and waste concrete, installation of granular bedding material, supply and installation of modular steel structure with headgate, riprap placement, channel regrading and shaping, installation of concrete grade control structure, installation of rock cross-vane structures, and all associated seeding. The project is located on the Helena Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, approximately 13 miles southwest of Helena. It is accessed by Forest Road #1878. Refer to the cover sheet of the plans for a location map. Magnitude of Construction project (FAR 36.204(b)) - Between $25,000 and $100,000.
