Newsome Creek Trail Bridge-Trail No. 825 – M.P. 0.0 Description of Work: The project consists of the construction of a new 60’ (centerline to centerline) span by 7’ wide glued-laminated timber stringer trail bridge with a timber deck and precast concrete foundations. Ancillary work to repair an upstream in-stream rock grade control structure is also included. The project site is located on Forest Service Trail No. 825, MP 0.0 and the bridge crosses Newsome Creek. Improvements consist of but are not limited to: structure excavation/backfill, geocell abutment stabilization, precast concrete grade beams, supply and installation of treated timber trail bridge, placement of riprap, aggregate surfacing, embankment construction, kiosk system improvements, and in-stream rock grade control/bank improvements.
